What's On In Cornwall This Easter
Hurrah for spring! An early Easter this year means we might have to wrap up a little warmer, but there is still plenty to see and do. We've popped together the best of what's on in Cornwall this Easter...
Easter Scavenger Hunt at Cardinham Woods, 28th March
Using an accessible walking trail that everyone can enjoy. This Easter scavenger hunt will be looking for nature inspired clues around the woods to finish at the Forest School fire circle for more chocolatey treats and an Easter egg for each participant. Fancy dress optional. Suitable for wheelchair users, buggies and small bikes/trikes.
Spring Sauna Ceremony, 28th March
Held at the beautiful Trebah Gardens, this is a guided, wood-fired sauna experience led by Matt, Sauna Master . Each session is carefully held and unhurried, combining traditional sauna heat with botanical steam infusions, breath, and moments of stillness. Drawing inspiration from Nordic sauna ritual and Trebah’s unique garden and coastal surroundings, the experience is designed to be grounding, restorative, and deeply relaxing.
Matt will guide each session, introducing heat gradually and working with seasonal botanicals to shape the steam and atmosphere. This is an adults-focused wellness experience, created to slow the pace, encourage presence, and offer a meaningful moment of warmth during the spring months.
Free Family Pottery Sessions, 7th - 16th April
The Leach Pottery is holding a fortnight of free creative pottery workshops across St Ives, Redruth and Camborne for families to make with clay together. Just as Bernard Leach took inspiration from nature, participants will bring clay together with spring growth and imagery to make beautiful and useful pottery.
Paddington at Bodmin Railway, 5 & 6th April
Everyone's favourite bear is coming to Bodmin for a special family weekend this Easter holidays. Climb aboard a beautifully restored heritage steam train for a scenic journey. Along the way, enjoy the vintage carriages and plenty of craft activities and fun. Plus, there’ll also be the chance to meet Paddington - don’t forget your camera!
Heligan Rangers: Beaver Detectives, 7th April
Beaver lodges, gnawed branches, dams, felled trees, beaver tracks… Can you become a Heligan beaver detective and spot the signs that beavers are living in the area? Head off to one of Heligan’s hidden corners with a Nature Guide to explore the beaver enclosure armed with a detective guide full of clues to spot signs of beaver activity. See for yourself the impacts that our beavers have had on their habitat and discover the importance of beavers in our ecosystems.
Giants at The Minack, 3rd - 16th April
Spend an afternoon at the stunning clifftop Minack Theatre. Wrap up warm, take a cushion and watch the fun unfold. Giants is a riotous reimagining of the legend of Cormoran, the terrible giant of St Michael’s Mount, packed full of songs and fun.
Easter Egg Hunt at Trengwainton Garden, 3rd - 19th April
Make your way along the trail and find 10 activities that are all about the creatures that call the garden their home. Try popping the tail on the bunny, have a go at the birdy bean bag toss, guess the footprints, seed planting for bees and more.
