What's On In Cornwall Summer Holidays 2024
Hurrah for the summer holidays! The weather might be letting the side down a little this summer, but the fun in Cornwall won't! There is so much going on and we've rounded up the best of what's on in Cornwall summer holidays 2024...
Penlee Park Open Air Theatre, until 20th September
Over 80 different events are happening at this gorgeous open air theatre in the heart of a lush garden in Penzance. From Wind In The Willows to The Little Mermaid, Dr DoLittle, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes tales and much more! You'll find something to suit all the family with a lovely afternoon or evening in the park.
Summer Art Club at St Ives School of Painting, various dates
For children aged 7-13, these Summer art classes are led by professional artists and give children a taste of different art mediums. Children get to work in the world famous studio overlooking the sea and leave feeling inspired with beautiful artwork. From print making to ink drawing, collage and more, there is lots to choose from over the holidays.
Deer Safari at Boconnoc Estate, various dates
A fascinating wildlife adventure at Boconnoc Estate. Hop on board the tractor-trailer with the Deer Ranger who will lead you on a safari through beautiful grounds to the ancient Deer Park, where you’ll have the opportunity to observe these graceful creatures in action.
Childrens Pottery Workshops, 5th - 28th August
If the weather isn't being too kind then head indoors to one of these fun pottery workshops for ages 3-14. Each session is themed with either sea creatures, pirates or mythical creatures to choose from. Best off all you get to take your creation home with you!
The Cornish Bank Summer Club, 26th - 28th July
Head into the magical woodlands of the Trefusis Estate near Falmouth for 3 days of camping, live music, food, fun and family.
Legendary Joust at Pendennis Castle, 30th July - 1st August & 13th - 15th August
Experience the exhilarating spectacle of speed and skill as four legendary knights compete for honour and glory in the grand medieval joust. See lances shatter, feel the thunder of hooves and hear the roar of the crowd as reputations are won and lost.
Immerse yourself in medieval life and meet characters from the past. Young lords and ladies can test their aim with ‘have-a-go’ archery, or watch falcons soar in the skies above.
Fowey Lifeboat Week, 29th July - 4th August
Celebrating 200 years of the RNLI and 165 years of the Fowey Lifeboat, this is a week of celebration and fun in the beautiful harbour town of Fowey. From fireworks and live music to boat races, quizzes, lifeboat tours and more. A week of fun for all the family.
Swamp Circus Summer Camp, 28th August - 1st September
Swamp Circus Trust invites you to join them on a weekend of fun filled activities. Set in the idyllic countryside, have a go on a high wire, trapeze, unicycle and acrobatics and much, much more.
Keep everything to hand for family day's out in one of our fun and colourful Roka backpacks! They're vegan, water resistant and have plenty of space for picnics, waterproofs, suncream and towels.
