Cornish Beaches That Look Like You're Abroad
We know lots of people are still a bit nervous to travel abroad because of Covid, and of course the recent airport chaos and price hikes haven't helped either. So if you haven't got an exotic holiday booked this year, don't worry as we've found the best Cornish beaches that look like you're abroad! Pack that swimsuit, grab a towel and get ready for a day on a perfect beach...
For Tropical Island Vibes: Pedn Vounder
You've got to work for this one a little bit, but this beach is worth it, we promise! Park in either Treen or Porthcurno and follow the coast path down. There is a bit of a scramble at the end but we've seen toddlers and dogs make it so you'll be fine if you take it slowly and be careful. Your reward is white sand, turquoise sea and even a little private island that forms as a sand bank as the tide goes out.
For A French Feel: Marazion
Head to Marazion and you'll feel as if you're in France! Wander through the quaint village streets and head to the beach for views of St Michael's Mount which is very similar to Mont Saint Michel in Normandy.
For Thai Style: Kynance Cove
With it's white sand, islands dotted off the coast and perfect green sea you'll feel as if you're in Thailand, especially if you get a lovely hot summer day!
For A Caribbean Twist: Porthkidney Sands
Tucked just outside of St Ives, this mile long white sand beach is backed by picturesque sand dunes, sheltered spots for sunning yourself and crystal clear blue water. You might recognise it from the work of artist John Miller who lived here.
For Aussie Style Action: Porthmeor Beach
Swap Bondi Beach for Porthmeor this year! This beautiful beach in St Ives has it all - surfing, stand up paddleboarding, sea kayaking, coasteering, restaurants with amazing views and even the Tate Gallery.
Pack all you need for a beach day with one of our vegan Roka backpacks or slip into a new pair of beach sandals...
