What's On In Cornwall - Summer Holidays 2023
Cornwall reaches peak fun during the summer holidays! There is always so much going on that you can find something fun to do every day, and that's before you even start to explore the amazing beaches, watersports and coastline!
We all know the usual big hitters every summer, from Falmouth Week to Boardmasters, but we've rounded up the less well known events so you can plan some unique summer fun!
The Cornish Bank Summer Camp, 28th - 30th July
A big weekend of music, campfires, food, drinks, friends, family and fun. Join in for a magical few days in the woodlands with some magnificent acts from across the globe.
Sing Along The River, 3rd & 31st August
This outdoor event in Lostwithiel showcases the best of Cornwall’s community singing and choral groups and local Male Voice Choirs. Nestled under the trees on Lostwithiel’s Parade Gardens, alongside the banks of the Fowey, singers gather from all over Cornwall to perform on a beautiful stage under bunting and festoon lights.
It also features Lostwithiel Town Band and there are lots of opportunities for the audience to join in and sing along. There is a licensed bar and local caterers provide delicious food including pizza, nachos and burritos and big pan paella.
Geekfest 2023, 26th - 28th August
A festival of all things geeky at Heartlands! There will be plenty to entertain all ages throughout the bank holiday weekend-long event. The family-friendly events include cosplay, live performances, movie props, photo opportunities, access to lots of traders, and a variety of new and improved stuff from 2022.
A Pirate's Life For Me!, 24th July - 3rd September
Jam-packed with pirate fun, this summer will be the best yet at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall! Join in the interactive pirate theatre show where you decide the story, get crafting in the Make & Take sessions and join the Museum trail too.
Tales From The Trees, 25th August
In the backdrop of the beautiful Trebah Gardens this is a terrific tangle of puppetry, storytelling, live music and comedy, with a theme that embraces natural history, folklore and ecology.
Cornwall Vegan Organic Fest, 18th - 22nd August
A celebration of vegan food and organic farming for all the family at Chyan Farm near Penryn.
Great food, stalls, demonstrations, craft workshops, arts, dance, circus and healing. Bands, shows, talks and meetings.
Portscatho Regatta, 26th August
One of Cornwall's best regattas is held at this small village on the Roseland Peninsula. Boat races, sandcastle competitions, live music, BBQs, food and craft stalls, games and more!
