What's On In Cornwall May Half Term 2024

May half term in Cornwall is one of the loveliest holidays - the spring flowers are lining the hedgerows, the sun is hopefully shining and with the weather warming up it starts to feel like a proper holiday. The lazy days of summer are still ahead of us and it's a chance to relax, have fun and hopefully dip a toe in the sea. Even if the weather isn't perfect, there is so much to do, so we've found the best of what's on in Cornwall May half term 2024...

Falconry Display, 29th & 30th May

Watch hawks and falcons soar over the meadows of historic Trerice house near Newquay and listen to Elizabethan tales. Flying displays are at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Veryan Bunker Tour, 27th May

For something a little bit different head to Nare Head to uncover the secrets of the cold war. The team will take you on a tour of the nuclear bunker and tell you stories of what went on at this once top secret location. Plus you'll have magnificent views from the headland and access to some wonderful coast path walks.

Outdoor Cinema, 25th - 27th May

Three nights of classic movies under the stars, with the dramatic background of the Eden Project biomes! Choose from Mama Mia, Jurassic Park or Pretty Woman. Grab a blanket, pack some snacks and get ready for some good times!

Sunrise Sessions, 23rd & 30th May

If your little ones have you up at the crack of dawn then make the most of it (and tire them out!) by heading to The Lost Gardens of Heligan for their sunrise sessions. They'll be opening the doors at 6.30am so you can wander and explore as the sun rises, the birds sing and the early mists hang in the valleys. 

Skillywidden, 29th & 31st May

If you haven't been to The Minack Theatre then you're in for a treat. Built into the cliff side and overlooking the stunning coastline of Porthcurno, you've got fantastic theatre productions and some of the most beautiful views in the country. Skillywidden is a celebration of the wildlife and faery myths of Cornwall using puppets, songs and storytelling. 

Roof Tours at Truro Cathedral, 25th May
