Cornwall's Best Food Festivals 2024

Cornwall's Best Food Festivals 2024

Cornwall has become one of the UK's best foodie destinations - the humble pasty (that we all still love!) has been slightly nudged over for everything from Michelin starred seafood to tasty street food. Alongside the amazing restaurants a fun array of food festivals has popped up, so let's dive into Cornwall's best food festivals in 2024...

Cornwall Street Food Festival, 24th - 27th May

Set high on the cliffs above Newquay with glorious sea views, this festival is four days of live entertainment, fantastic food, family fun and delicious drinks. With over 30 of the UK's best street food stalls, and no two traders selling the same cuisine, there will be everything to try from Vietnamese to Moroccan and more! The perfect way to spend the bank holiday weekend.

Falmouth Food Festival, 24th - 26th May

Back for its second year, this waterside food festival is full of bank holiday fun. Showcasing the best of local Cornish food, alongside live music and art, this is the place to explore Cornwall's best produce and chefs.

Mevagissey Feast Week, 23rd - 29th June

While street food has become trendy in the last few years, this festival has been going since 1754! What started as a religious festival for St Peter has since evolved into a week-long celebration including everything from flora dances and parades to boat races, food, live music and fireworks!

Bubbles & Ice Cream Festival, 21st July

The beautiful Mount Edgcumbe estate near Plymouth is home to this slightly more unusual festival. A fun filled family day out where ice cream and bubbles take centre stage! From an ice cream assault course to bubble workshops, street food stalls, a prosecco & Pimms bar, live music, bouncy castles, Punch & Judy shows and more.

Rock Oyster Festival, 25th - 28th July

More than just a food festival, this is an amazing fusion of Michelin starred chefs, Masterchef winners, cookery demos, street food traders, legendary live music acts, culture, comedy, family fun and watersports. Once you've exhausted all that (and yourself!) you can relax with the wellbeing program with sound baths, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, spa treatments, hot tubs and more.

Bude Food Festival, 11th August

This north Cornwall food festival combines an artisan food market with some delicious street food. Pop along to fill your cupboards with the best local food from sausages to freshly baked cakes and jams to gins!

Comfy shoes and a backpack are our must have items for a festival! You'll be on your feet all day so keep those toes happy and with the great British weather you could be packing sun cream or rain coats (or both!) so you'll need plenty of space for those as well as all the yummy treats you'll be bringing home!
