Summer Fun in Cornwall

Summer Fun in Cornwall

We’re so excited to be out and about a bit more this summer and even though many of the usual events aren’t going ahead there is still plenty of summer fun in Cornwall!

Wavelength Drive-In Cinema

With stunning views over the sea, this outdoor cinema at Watergate Bay has the best location! From 16th July - 5th September they’ll be showing a whole host of movies from surf classics such as Big Wednesday and Point Break to family friendly films like Moana and The Goonies. With locally sourced street food, amazing views and great movies it’s going to be the perfect night out in Cornwall.

Macbeth at Pentille Castle

In the grounds of the beautiful Pentille Castle an outdoor theatre group is performing Shakespeare’s Macbeth on 21st July. With views over the Tamar River you’ll be able to lie back on the lawn and enjoy a magnificent performance of the play. Food and drinks will be on sale so you can really make a night of it.

Rock Oyster Festival

Going ahead as planned this summer (30th July - 1st August) and with a Covid money back guarantee on tickets in case the event does have to be cancelled, this is a great chance to enjoy a proper festival atmosphere this summer. A weekend of great food, live music, family fun and wellness is lined up to take place on the banks of the River Camel.

Boardmasters

After a two year wait (2019 due to bad weather and last year due to the pandemic) Boardmasters is back! A party weekend (11th - 15th August) on the cliffs near Newquay, packed full of big music acts and surf competitions.

Cornwall Folk Festival

For something a bit more gentle try this festival of music and dance. Over the August bank holiday weekend the top local, national and international artists will be brought to Wadebridge alongside great local food, wines, gins and more!
