Cornish Cocktail Recipes
Long, lazy summer nights and sundowners. What more could you need for the perfect evening? If you’re getting together with friends and family this summer, make the evening that bit more special with one of our Cornish cocktail recipes. We've included a mocktail recipe for the little ones or the non-drinkers.
Cornish Hedgerow Gin Fizz
To an iced cocktail shaker add:
- 50ml of Tarquin’s Cornish Blackberry Gin
- A good squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- A dash of sugar syrup
Give it all a good shake then strain into a glass full of ice, top with prosecco and garnish with a twist of lemon.
Spiced Cornish Mule
To a glass with ice add:
- 50ml Dead Man’s Fingers Cornish Spiced Rum
- Ginger beer
- A squeeze of fresh lime juice
- A drizzle of honey
Stir well, garnish with fresh mint and a wedge of lime.
Cornish Summer Flowers
To a glass with ice add:
- Your favourite Cornish cider
- Elderflower presse
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Garnish with apple slices, a sprig of elderflower and a twist of lemon
Cornish Orchard
To an iced cocktail shaker add:
- 50ml of Tarquin’s Cornish Gin
- 100ml apple juice
- A good squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- A dash of maple syrup
Shake hard and serve over ice. Top up with ginger ale and ganish with an apple slice, sprig of thyme and a cinnamon stick.
Apple Mojito
One for the kids or non-drinkers - this mocktail makes the most of the beautiful orchards and fresh apple juice we have in Cornwall. Head to your local farm shop for a variety of local apple juices.
- 12 fresh mint leaves
- A good squeeze of fresh lime juice
- 1tsp granulated sugar
- 100 ml of Cornish apple juice
- Soda water
In a glass rimmed with granulated sugar muddle the mint leaves, sugar and lime juice using the end of a rolling pin. Add ice to the glass, pour over the apple juice and top up with soda water. Garnish with lime wedge, apple slice and mint leaves.
