Our Top Cornish Walks

Our Top Cornish Walks

We've all been spending a lot more time outdoors this year and our team have put together their top Cornish walks for you to enjoy, whether you are local or down here on holiday.

Portreath to Godrevy

Godrevy Lighthouse, Cornwall

Of course we had to start in our home village of Portreath! Our shop is just down the road from the beautiful harbour village and beach of Portreath and many of our walks start here after a day at work. Head up over the coast path towards Hayle and you'll come across secret hidden beaches, dramatic cliffs and fabulous views stretching out towards St Ives. Don't miss the amazing cove full of seals just before you reach Godrevy Lighthouse.

Coast to Coast Path

Another one that starts right by our shop - the Coast to Coast path that runs from Portreath to Devoran. Walk or cycle, this is a great 11 mile route that takes you right through the heart of Cornish tin mining country and out onto the peaceful creeks at Devoran.

Tintagel to Boscastle

Tintagel Castle, Cornwall

A little further afield, this walk takes in some of the most spectacular coastline in Cornwall. Explore the ruins of Tintagel Castle and the myths of King Arthur before following the coast path towards Boscastle Harbour. On a clear day you'll be able to see Lundy Island out to sea and you'll pass through the dramatic Rocky Valley.

Porthcurno to Lamorna

Porthcurno, Cornwall

There is so much to see on this walk, from the Minack Theatre nestled into the cliffs above the white sands of Porthcurno, to the filming locations of BBC's Poldark series. Stop for a wild swim or a paddle if you're brave enough in one of the many coves along the way, visit the local cafes for a well deserved pasty and be prepared for lots of steep climbs on this walk! The hard work is well rewarded by some of the most beautiful views in Cornwall.
