Roskillys Farm
There is lots to do at this lovely working organic farm on the Lizard. Meet the animals, stroll through the woodland, meadows and orchards, follow the farm trails and watch the cows being milked. Free parking.
Rock Pooling
Dig out that beach bucket from the shed and head to your local beach at low tide for some classic rock pooling. You'll be amazing at how much life is in hiding in the smallest of rock pools along the coast and it's a great way for kids to learn more about sea life. Remember to be gentle, leave stones and rocks as you found them and return all creatures to where they were found.
Flicka Donkey Sanctuary
Meet some gorgeous donkeys and go for a stroll around the farm at the Flicka Foundation near Penryn. It's home to over 100 rescued donkeys and horses, perfect if your kids love animals. Entry and parking is free. Donations are welcome.
Mount Edgcumbe Country Park
Perfect for autumn, enjoy a family day out kicking through the leaves on the forest trails or exploring the coastline. There are 865 acres for you to explore. The park is open every day and is free.
Heartlands
A fantastic space in Pool with a mining museum and exhibition, diaspora gardens and a giant adventure playscape for kids. Best of all, they are all completely free to enjoy.
