Cosy Places To Visit In Cornwall This Autumn
This year we've decided not to fight the clocks going back and the darker days and just embrace the cosy! From snuggly places to hunker down by a log fire to autumnal woodland walks, we've put together a list of cosy places to visit in Cornwall this autumn...
Rising Embers Sauna, Newlyn
Warm up at this wood fired sauna, just a stones throw from the sea. Brave a dip in the sea first or just come to get toasty! Saunas have a wealth of benefits from soothing aching muscles, boosting your immune system, relaxing and de-stressing you and it's fun! You can book private sessions or just come along and join in with others.
Foraging & Wild Food Day at 7th Rise
In an ancient woodland on the banks of the River Fal, 7th Rise is a hidden cottage where you can learn how to identify, harvest and cook wild foods. Gather around the fire for a feast with what you have foraged.
Tarquin's Gin Distillery Tour
Hide away from the chilly weather and warm up the cockles with a tour of everyone's favourite Cornish gin distillery! Learn how gin is made, see where the magic happens, have a botanical masterclass and a tutored tasting of several lovely gins. If all that doesn't warm you up, nothing will!
The Pandora Inn, Restronguet
Normally awash with people in the summer, this creekside 13th century pub is flocked to by boat, kayak, foot and car. But in the autumn a quiet descends over the water, the only sounds are the gentle lapping of the river and the call of the curlews and oyster catchers. Inside what is arguably one of the prettiest pubs in Cornwall you'll find cosy roaring log fires, fantastic food and beautiful views. The perfect place to spend a cosy afternoon.
Sunset & Star Gazing
Pack a flask of hot chocolate, pull on your snuggliest woollies and cosiest scarf, grab some blankets and head out to your favourite spot to watch the sunset and the stars come out. Our top spots for sunset watching are Chapel Carn Brea Hill near Land's End, the Pepper Pot just above Portreath beach (our local!) and Trevose Lighthouse near Padstow. Bonus points for packing some candle lanterns for an even cosier and romantic atmosphere!
Minack Theatre Café, Porthcurno
On a stormy day this is the perfect spot to warm up! High on the cliffs above Porthcurno beach this café has huge windows that look out to sea and the waves breaking on the cliffs below. What could be cosier than hiding away from the elements with a hot chocolate and watching the storms rage outside?
Lerryn
The perfect autumnal day out - head to Lerryn and follow the path towards St Winnow for a walk alongside the river and through the peaceful woods. Watch the colourful leaves fall, listen to the birds singing through the valleys and then head to The Ship Inn to warm up with a hot drink or something stronger!
Stay cosy with our autumn boots, knitwear, coats and snuggly accessories.
