Our Top Cornish Beaches Near Schoose
We're so lucky to have our shop so near the coast. Head just 1.5 miles down the road from us and you'll be wiggling your toes in the sands of Portreath Beach! Up and down the coast from us are so many beautiful beaches, it can be hard to choose, but we've put together our top Cornish beaches near Schoose...
Portreath
Of course this has to be our favourite as it's so close to us! A large beach with soft fine sand, plenty of parking, cafes, pubs, fish and chip shops and more. It's got everything you need for a day at the beach. Don't miss a wander over to the harbour or a stroll up the coast path to the Pepper Pot - the large white daymark that was used to signal to ships where they were.
Porthtowan
With it's great surf and tidal rock pool this is a fantastic spot for day in the sun. After a day of sun worshipping head to the Blue Bar for drinks or dinner with views of the sunsetting into the sea.
Chapel Porth
You have to time it right to go to this beach as it entirely disappears at high tide! But at low tide you have a beautiful beach, caves to explore, Wheal Coates tin mine above on the cliffs for the Instagram pics and the famous hedgehog ice creams from the cafe.
Gwithian Beach
Sitting at the very end of the huge Hayle Bay, take a stroll through the dunes and you'll find this lovely beach with its sweeping views, great surf, lovely cafe and even a lighthouse on an island!
All beach days need a good pair of flip flops or some summer sandals! Pack up your towels, sunscreen and swimmers in on of our bright and cheerful vegan backpacks.
